About

I am someone who wants to learn to play the piano or any other quality musical instrument. I have some Web programming experience and made this site with the hope that it will help people who want to learn how to read music and, maybe, learn an instrument themselves someday.
I realize that reading musical notes is NOT the same thing as reading text like out of a book. Even so, I think reading musical notes as if they were letters-in-text can only help a student become more familiar with musical notation.
This site is not meant as a comprehensive learn-all about the intricacies of reading musical notation. There is nothing about sharps, flats, rhythm, counterpoint, theory... NOTHING like that. The site is at best a supplement for reading music. Its main goal is that users will eventually be able to see a musical staff and spot where the notes A-G would be located without having to take several seconds of rehearsing in their head where the notes should be.
Again, this site is meant to be a supplement. Hopefully, a FUN one!
